Prof Rajiv Reebye

Director & Chair

Dr. Rajiv Reebye is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) specialist, Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia, and attending physician at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver, Canada. He specializes in spasticity and neuropathic pain management, teaches internationally on ultrasound-guided injections, and has received multiple national awards for excellence in medical education and clinical teaching.

Dr Stefano Carda

Director & Vice Chair

Dr Stefano Carda has his medical degree and post-graduate teaching in PRM in Italy. He has worked several years with Pr Franco Molteni and Pr Carlo Cisari, in Italy, in the field of neurological rehabilitation, spasticity and bone and muscle metabolism.

In 2011 he moved to the University Hospital of Lausanne, where he is holding the title of Clinical Professor and Deputy Physician, in the service of Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation.
He has published mainly on adjunctive treatments after botulinum toxin treatment and surgical treatment of spasticity.

His clinical interests are spasticity treatment, rehabilitation of neuromuscular diseases and neurological rehabilitation.

Dr Ève Boissonnault

DIRECTOR

Ève Boissonnault completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Université de Montréal. She then trained in neurorehabilitation with Dr. Paul Winston and Dr. Rajiv Reebye in British Columbia. After clinical and research time at the Department of Medicine at the Université de Montréal, and the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), the spasticity clinic at the Villa Medica Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Institut universitaire sur la réadaptation en déficience physique de Montréal (IURDPM), she joined the University of Alberta as an Assistant Professor and is currently working at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, primarily in post-stroke rehabilitation and spasticity management.

Her main research interests focus on the multimodal management of spasticity, ultrasound-observed changes in the architecture of spastic muscles, and the development of innovative treatments for spasticity.

Dr Anibal Bohorquez

Director

Dr. Anibal Bohorquez is a clinical instructor with the UBC Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his BSc. From the University of California and his MD from Queen’s University. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from UBC.

Dr. Bohorquez enjoys teaching medical students. He also teaches rheumatology fellows, geriatric fellows, and physiatry residents. He has received a resident teaching award.

Dr. Bohorquez is an attending physician at GF Strong Rehab Centre in the inpatient neuromuscular rehabilitation unit. He also does an outpatient Stroke and Brain Injury clinic at GF Strong.

Dr Neil Ravenhill

Director & CHIEF executive officer

Dr Neil Ravenhill is a highly experience executive with a background in medicine and life sciences. Through his career, Neil has worked to ensure that healthcare professionals, patients, carers, policy makers, and the general public work together to solve for gaps in care. He has organised global medical education programs. Neil has Bachelor’s Degree and PhD in Biological Sciences and is based in the UK.
